Jameson Blake Excited for ‘Flower Girl’ Release, Shares Insight on His Personality and the Film’s Deeper Message

Star Magic artist and busy actor Jameson Blake is thrilled that his latest film Flower Girl will finally hit theaters next month after wrapping up filming last year.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, the Fil-British actor shared his excitement about seeing the film on the big screen come June 18, coinciding closely with his 28th birthday on June 17.

“These past few months, I was thinking, ‘Kailan ba lalabas yung movie na ‘to?’ I was really curious how it’s going to turn out because it’s not a typical movie you’d watch. So I’m just happy that it’s coming out on my birthday pa,” he laughed.

Outside of acting, Jameson revealed a more low-key side of himself that fans might not expect.

“I’m not super adventurous. I can be boring sometimes. But I’m a good person to talk to — a good listener. Some people think I’m ‘suplado’ before meeting me, but I’m really approachable once you get to know me.”

In Flower Girl, Jameson stars alongside Sue Ramirez, who plays Ena — a modern Filipina who mysteriously wakes up missing her lady part. Jameson emphasized that the film is more than just a quirky comedy.

“It’s about time we’re more open to talk about topics like this. It’s not just about a missing body part — it explores womanhood in a way that’s funny but thought-provoking. It challenges the audience to think about worth and love beyond physical completeness.”

He added,

“I want viewers to have fun and laugh, but also take away something deeper. The movie asks if someone can still be worthy of love even if they’re missing something like a body part.”

The film also stars Martin del Rosario, KaladKaren, and Maxie Andreison. Written and directed by Fatrick Tabada (known for Patay na Si Hesus), and produced by The IdeaFirst Company, Octobertrain, and CreaZion Studios, Flower Girl opens nationwide in cinemas on June 18, 2025.
