International Workplace Group (IWG), the world’s largest provider of flexible workspace solutions, is making its debut in Bohol this October with the launch of the province’s first-ever Regus centre. The expansion is being undertaken in partnership with Uptown Tagbilaran Realty Corporation and represents a milestone in IWG’s push into the Philippines’ rapidly growing regional hubs.
The upcoming Regus centre in Tagbilaran—Bohol’s bustling capital and gateway city—will provide professionals, startups, and businesses with flexible office options tailored to the evolving demands of today’s workforce. Situated just 25 minutes from Panglao Island and the Bohol-Panglao International Airport, the location combines business accessibility with the allure of a tourist destination, making it ideal for hybrid professionals and companies embracing work-life balance.
“Companies are looking for greater flexibility, accessibility, and quality—especially in fast-growing areas outside Metro Manila,” said Rowena Bravo-Natividad, Country Manager for IWG Philippines. “We’re proud to bring IWG’s global standards to more cities across the country.”
The Bohol centre adds to IWG’s growing portfolio of 39 centres in the Philippines, and supports its goal of reaching 50 locations by the end of 2025. The company’s rapid expansion in key growth areas reflects rising demand for decentralized, hybrid work environments.

Driving Regional Growth
IWG’s arrival in Bohol aligns with the province’s own economic momentum. According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, Bohol’s economy expanded by 6.6% in 2024, with its GDP reaching ₱182.4 billion—74% of which came from the services sector. The expansion of the Bohol-Panglao International Airport, which is expected to accommodate 3.9 million passengers annually by 2030, further strengthens the province’s appeal to local and international businesses.
The move also supports Bohol’s transformation into a tech and innovation hub. Tagbilaran hosts 25 universities, creating a strong talent pipeline for IT-BPM firms, startups, and creative industries.
IWG’s Expansion Plans for the Philippines
Beyond Bohol, IWG is rolling out 14 more locations in the Philippines between late 2025 and 2026, many of which are already operational. These include:
- Cebu Exchange Tower (two Regus centres)
- Island Central Mall (first Regus in Lapu-Lapu, Cebu)
- Asiatown IT Park (new Regus workspace in Cebu City)
- Elijah Hotel and Residences (first centre in Dasmariñas, Cavite)
- Century Diamond Tower and The Stiles Enterprise Plaza (new SPACES in Makati)
- Laureano di Trevi Towers (premium HQ in Makati)
- E-Square Mall (first Regus in San Juan)

- Kalayaan Building (first HQ in Makati)
- Mabuhay IT Park (first centre in General Santos City)
Several of these locations—such as Cebu Exchange Tower and Elijah Hotel—are roll-in sites, converted from competitor-run spaces, highlighting IWG’s growing market dominance and brand strength.
Global Ambitions, Local Impact
Globally, IWG is reinforcing its leadership in the flexible workspace sector. In 2024 alone, the group signed 899 new locations and opened 624 centres worldwide. This growth highlights its role as a preferred partner for property developers, landlords, and cities looking to adapt to changing work trends.
“The demand for high-quality, flexible workspaces is increasing in regional centres,” said Marc Descrozaille, CEO for Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific at IWG. “Our presence in areas beyond traditional business districts allows us to support local economies and meet the evolving needs of businesses of all sizes.”
Research from IWG and Arup shows that hybrid working can boost productivity by up to 11% and deliver significant cost savings—estimated at $11,000 per employee annually. With projections suggesting 30% of all commercial real estate will be flexible workspace by 2030, IWG is well-positioned to lead the global shift.
With over 4,000 locations worldwide and clients that include 83% of Fortune 500 companies, IWG’s multi-brand approach continues to serve businesses at every stage of growth—from global enterprises to freelancers and digital nomads.
As flexible, hybrid models become the new norm, IWG’s continued expansion across the Philippines signals a future where workspaces are more accessible, adaptable, and closer to where people live and thrive.
