MANILA – The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will continue to affect large parts of the country on Wednesday, the weather bureau said.
In its 4 a.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao and Palawan.
Batanes and Cagayan will have cloudy skies with rains due to northeasterly windflow.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.
The northern and eastern sections of Northern Luzon will have moderate to strong northeast winds and moderate to rough seas.
Other parts of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
The weather bureau said no low pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation.
