A century of Italian design mastery took center stage in Quezon City as Moda Interni celebrated the enduring legacy of luxury furniture brand Turri, marking 100 years of craftsmanship, artistry, and innovation that continues to shape modern living spaces around the world.

The two-day celebration, hosted at Moda Interni’s showroom, brought together design enthusiasts, architects, and homeowners to explore the philosophy behind one of Italy’s most respected furniture houses.

Leading the event were Goldwin Sison, President of Moda Interni, and Luca Meduri, Turri’s APAC Sales Director, who highlighted how the brand’s century-long commitment to design excellence continues to resonate with today’s evolving Philippine design landscape.

Founded in 1925, Turri has built a global reputation for transforming furniture into works of art. Its creations are the result of close collaborations with master craftsmen and internationally renowned designers, producing collections that balance timeless aesthetics with modern sensibilities.

Over the decades, the brand has worked with celebrated creative minds such as Paola Navone, Matteo Nunziati, Monica Armani, and Marco Acerbis, each contributing distinctive perspectives that enrich Turri’s design narrative.

Rather than simply producing furniture, Turri approaches every collection as a story shaped by creativity, craftsmanship, and technical expertise. Meduri explained that this collaborative approach ensures the brand remains innovative while staying true to its heritage.

“This approach brings fresh perspectives and innovation, blending the brand’s craftsmanship with contemporary ideas,” Meduri said. “Collaborating with external talent ensures unique, recognizable products that balance heritage and modernity while maintaining Turri’s distinct identity.”

One standout example showcased during the event was the Azul bed designed by Paola Navone, an entirely handcrafted piece that embodies Turri’s signature balance of elegance and artisanal craftsmanship.

Even in an age defined by industrial automation, Turri continues to champion the human touch. Many of its most distinctive pieces feature hand-decorated lacquered wood, a painstaking technique that delivers rich textures and refined finishes. The same meticulous attention extends to the brand’s leatherwork, rooted in Italy’s long-standing tradition of exceptional leather craftsmanship.

From precise hand stitching to woven leather designs such as the Net Collection by Matteo Nunziati, each detail reflects the expertise of skilled artisans.

Customization also plays a central role in Turri’s design philosophy. Each piece can be tailored in dimensions, materials, and finishes, allowing homeowners to integrate furniture seamlessly into their living spaces.

“The bespoke approach is central to the brand: every piece can be custom-made in both dimensions and finishes, perfectly adapting to the client’s space, style, and preferences,” Meduri said. “The combination of innovative design, handcrafted techniques, and attention to detail produces items that embody quality, durability, and uniqueness.”

Beyond aesthetics, Turri’s craftsmanship also lies in the thoughtful selection and combination of materials. The brand frequently blends wood, metal, glass, marble, and leather into single pieces, creating furniture that balances visual elegance with structural integrity. This multi-material approach requires exceptional technical precision, from detailed joinery to carefully finished surfaces.

“In a market where many competitors compete solely on price, Turri’s combination of durability, bespoke design, and obsessive care for detail offers tangible, lasting value that justifies the investment,” Sison said.

Through its partnership with Moda Interni, Turri’s legacy of Italian artistry now finds a meaningful place within the modern Filipino home. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to delivering sophisticated design experiences that combine international craftsmanship with local insight into how Filipinos live and entertain.

“Bringing Turri to the Philippines means offering our clients access to a century of artistry, innovation, and uncompromising craftsmanship,” Sison said. “It is both a tribute to Turri’s legacy and a commitment to delivering exceptional design experiences that inspire and endure for generations.”

As Turri marks its centennial milestone, the partnership signals a growing appreciation among Filipino homeowners for timeless design, meticulous craftsmanship, and furniture that transforms everyday spaces into enduring expressions of art and lifestyle.
