Iran’s military said it launched another round of drone attacks on Wednesday against facilities used by US forces in Jordan and Bahrain.
State broadcaster IRIB reported that the operation began in the morning and targeted military infrastructure at Al-Azraq base in Jordan and Sheikh Isa base in Bahrain.
Iranian forces said the strikes in Jordan hit housing areas, support facilities and storage sites used by US personnel.
The drones sent toward Bahrain allegedly targeted large equipment depots and workshops used for the maintenance and repair of heavy aircraft.
Jordan and Bahrain had not immediately issued statements on the latest claims.
The reported operation followed Iranian missile attacks a day earlier against sites linked to the US military in the two countries.
Jordanian officials said their air defenses intercepted several missiles and drones that entered the kingdom’s airspace, while Bahrain’s military reported stopping multiple aerial attacks after warning sirens were activated.
The renewed exchanges came as US attacks on Iran and Tehran’s retaliatory strikes continued despite a Pakistan-brokered agreement signed in June that was intended to end the conflict and open negotiations for a longer-term settlement.
