Iran launched several waves of missiles toward northern Israel early Thursday, according to reports from Israeli media, as air defenses moved to intercept incoming threats.

Air raid sirens were activated across wide areas in the north, prompting residents to seek shelter. Authorities said interception systems were deployed as the projectiles approached.

State television in Iran reported that some missiles had reached Haifa, a major port city, shortly after remarks from Donald Trump about Tehran’s dwindling launch capabilities.

In a White House address earlier in the day, Trump said Iran’s missile infrastructure had been significantly weakened. He indicated that only a limited number of launchers remained operational and that its ability to carry out attacks had been reduced.

The US leader also said he expected the conflict to continue for several more weeks, though he expressed belief that fighting could soon wind down.

Tensions have remained high since late February, when the United States and Israel began a coordinated air campaign against Iranian targets.

The offensive has resulted in more than 1,300 deaths, including Ali Khamenei, and has caused widespread destruction in affected areas.

In response, Iran carried out missile and drone strikes targeting Israel and neighboring countries hosting US military facilities, leading to casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions in global markets and air travel.
