Filipino actor-singer Inigo Pascual revealed that his family was nearly caught in the path of the destructive wildfires that swept through Los Angeles in January 2025. Speaking on TFC’s BRGY with host Bianca Gonzalez, Inigo shared how close the fires came to their home in La Crescenta, near Pasadena.
“We were in between two of the big fires,” Inigo recalled. “We were closest to the Eaton Fire, which was the second largest fire that was happening at the time.”
While Inigo was in South America during the incident, his mother, grandfather, and two cats were home. Acting on instinct, his mother decided to evacuate even before an official notice was issued. “She said, ‘I’m not going to take our chances,’” he said.
Inigo described feeling helpless from afar: “It was hard to be in the moment. I didn’t even know if I was going to come back to anything.” He said his family had to evacuate twice as the danger levels fluctuated, closely monitoring the shifting wildfire zones.
Despite the close call, Inigo shared that their home was ultimately spared. “Thank God. I was really, really scared,” he said, while also expressing his sympathy for neighbors who lost their homes — especially senior citizens who had lived in the area their whole lives.
