The Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) will hold a three-day rally at Rizal Park in Manila from November 16 to 18, promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance. Attendees will receive commemorative button pins symbolizing the group’s call for justice, peace, and democratic values.
“In line with the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s Rally for Transparency and a Better Democracy, CEBSI Exclusive Souvenirs will be giving out commemorative button pins around Quirino Grandstand this Nov. 16–18,” INC News and Updates announced. CEBSI, the Christian Era Broadcasting Service International, Inc., serves as the religious group’s broadcast arm.
“These pins symbolize our collective call for accountability, justice, and peace—values that strengthen our nation and uphold true democracy,” the INC added.
The religious group said the event aims to highlight the need for government transparency following recent corruption issues in flood control projects involving some officials and private contractors. Separate investigations are being conducted by the Office of the Ombudsman, Department of Justice, Department of Public Works and Highways, and the Independent Commission for Infrastructure.
“It has been over 100 days, yet no one has been held accountable—and the call for truth, fairness, and justice grows stronger. This peaceful movement represents every Filipino who believes that genuine democracy can only thrive when leaders are transparent and prioritize the nation and its citizens,” the INC said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno suspended face-to-face classes in all public and private schools on November 17 and 18 to give way to the rally. Schools are advised to shift to Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM).
To ensure safety, 14 ambulances will be stationed around the venue for emergencies. The Manila Police District will secure nearby areas, while the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau will manage traffic during the event.
