The Department of Trade and Industry Cordillera Administrative Region (DTI-CAR) brings to Manila the 33rd “Impakabsat” Regional Trade Fair.
Taking center stage at the Carousel Court of the Festival Mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, the trade fair features the best from the Cordilleras.
DTI-CAR Regional Director Atty. Raymond Panhon welcomes guests to the regional trade fair.
He explained “Impakabsat,” an Ilocano word which translates to “kapatid” in Filipino or Tagalog, is more than just a trade fair but a celebration of the Cordillera’s creativity, resilience, and shared joy.
With this year’s theme, Colors and Creations, visitors get to experience the following:
– Witness the amazing back strap weaving skill—a true Cordilleran art form, brought to life by master artisans.
– Enjoy Mountain Province’s local delicacies, explore beautifully handcrafted items, and check out uniquely made bags that reflect the charm of the highlands.
– Explore also Kalinga’s handwoven textiles with striking patterns, crafts shaped with precision, and food specialties that carry stories of tradition and Benguet’s hearty local food, beautifully woven pieces, and finely carved wooden creations.
The trade fair also lets guests discover Apayao’s top food and craft treasures—taste the proudly local delicacies, explore beautifully handcrafted pieces, and take home something uniquely Apayao and Abra’s top products, from finely crafted goods to beautifully woven textiles, all made by local artisans.
