Uswag Ilonggo party-list Rep. Jojo Ang
Uswag Ilonggo party-list Rep. Jojo Ang posted P90,000 bail before the Sandiganbayan Third Division in connection with one graft charge, a court official said Tuesday.
Third Division clerk of court Dennis Pulma confirmed that Ang paid the amount in cash.
Pulma said the lawmaker posted bail on Monday after the anti-graft court issued a warrant for his arrest.
The case formed part of the graft complaints filed against Ang by state prosecutors before the Sandiganbayan.
Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano earlier said prosecutors had filed 14 counts of graft against the party-list representative.
The complaints stemmed from allegations that Ang retained an interest in a construction company while serving in the House of Representatives.
The firm allegedly secured around Php 214 million worth of contracts from the Department of Public Works and Highways.
Other Sandiganbayan divisions handling the remaining graft cases had yet to announce whether they had issued separate arrest warrants against Ang.
