Police in Iloilo City have reported the seizure of PHP12.8 million worth of shabu and the arrest of 91 drug suspects throughout June.
According to the latest data from the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), law enforcement officials confiscated over a kilogram of shabu and more than 28 grams of marijuana during 64 operations conducted across the city.
The arrested individuals included 25 high-value targets, 63 street-level suspects, and three individuals with outstanding warrants of arrest. This achievement marks a slight increase compared to May, when the ICPO seized PHP12.35 million worth of shabu and marijuana and made 54 arrests during 44 anti-illegal drug operations.
In a statement released late Tuesday, ICPO Director Col. Kim Legada attributed the success to teamwork and a shared commitment to combat illegal drugs. “With continued collaboration, we can eliminate this menace that threatens our communities. Together, we move closer to our goal of making Iloilo City truly drug-free,” he stated.
The ongoing efforts of the ICPO reflect a strong stance against illegal drug activities in the region, aiming to enhance public safety and community well-being.
