If your idea of home goes beyond walls and roofs—and instead speaks to soul, comfort, and memories—then IKEA’s latest launch might just be calling your name.
Filipino design enthusiasts now have a compelling new reason to visit IKEA. The Swedish furniture giant is bringing its most personal and expressive STOCKHOLM collection yet to the Philippines—a line that redefines what it means to live well indoors, where real life unfolds.
More than just furniture, the STOCKHOLM 2025 collection is a quiet celebration of the spaces that shape us. These aren’t just tables or chairs—they’re the silent witnesses to life’s small but meaningful moments: early-morning coffees, Sunday dinners, heartfelt conversations, and movie nights with family. They’re built not just to fill a room, but to become part of your story.

Bringing IKEA STOCKHOLM 2025 collection to life with design insights and real stories. Panelists (L-R) Ricardo Pinheiro, IKEA Philippines Country Retail Manager; Madel Mercado, IKEA Philippines Sales Leader; and special guest Wil Dasovich shared memorable stories about IKEA and the new STOCKHOLM collection.
A 40-year legacy, reimagined
For four decades, IKEA’s STOCKHOLM collection has embodied the warm simplicity of Scandinavian design. This year, as it marks its 40th anniversary, the beloved line returns with its most expansive edition yet: 93 thoughtfully crafted pieces blending natural materials, refined craftsmanship, and timeless style.
From generously sized velvet sofas to handwoven wool rugs, mouth-blown vases, and statement chandeliers, every item is rooted in IKEA’s signature Democratic Design philosophy—where beauty, function, quality, sustainability, and affordability meet.
Designed to be lived in
Crafted by three Swedish designers with distinct perspectives, STOCKHOLM 2025 draws inspiration from the city it’s named after—not just the urban sprawl, but also the surrounding forests, islands, and shifting seasons. Earthy tones and natural materials set the tone across furniture, textiles, lighting, and décor.

A STOCKHOLM living room with a spacious 3-seat IKEA Sofa as the centerpiece, mixed with vibrant colors and prints from the pillowcases and the woven rug.
Highlights include:
- A modular sofa by Ola Wihlborg, designed to keep its shape no matter how many movie nights it endures. Available in four colors, including a striking deep turquoise velvet, this sleek sofa took over 30 prototypes to perfect.
- A solid pine sofa by Nike Karlsson, using latex and coconut fibers in place of foam—creating a natural, breathable seating experience with a timeless Scandinavian aesthetic.
- A sliding-door cabinet with handwoven rattan, continuing the legacy of Karlsson’s best-selling piece from STOCKHOLM 2017, updated with a fresh, artisanal twist.
- Bentwood dining chairs, shaped by hand using traditional methods, marrying durability with delicate curves.
- Handwoven wool rugs by textile designer Paulin Machado, inspired by birch trees and Swedish seasons. Accompanied by lampshades with leaf and mushroom prints, her designs bring a touch of forest poetry indoors.
- Retro-inspired glass chandeliers, complete with white gloves for assembly—because craftsmanship deserves care.
And it doesn’t stop at furniture. The collection also includes ceramic tableware, linen pillowcases, Merino wool throws, and a trio of statement vases—two mouth-blown and one ceramic—that serve as eye-catching conversation starters.

IKEA STOCKHOLM 2025 features pieces made with rattan, which resonates with many Filipino households.
More than just a pretty face
“At the heart of STOCKHOLM is the belief that great design should be accessible,” says Karin Gustavsson, the collection’s Creative Leader. “Each piece is a story—made using time-honored techniques, real materials, and with a no-compromise attitude toward quality.”
Ricardo Pinheiro, IKEA Philippines Country Retail Manager, adds, “This collection is truly made for real Filipino homes—from cozy condo units to larger family spaces. It reflects warmth, practicality, and a commitment to sustainability.”
Living well, where it matters most
What makes STOCKHOLM 2025 special isn’t just the look—it’s how it feels. It’s about turning houses into homes. The collection is a direct expression of IKEA’s Democratic Design principle, which ensures every product checks five essential boxes:
- Form: Beautiful designs you’ll love coming home to
- Function: Practical solutions for everyday living
- Quality: Built to last, no matter the lifestyle
- Sustainability: Thoughtful choices for people and planet
- Low Price: Great design that doesn’t break the bank
With STOCKHOLM 2025, IKEA proves once again that living beautifully doesn’t have to be expensive—or complicated.
