Huang will be up against No. 6 Paweenon Nualsri, who stunned No. 4 Ying Chi Chloe Wong of Hong Kong, 6-3, 5-7, 6-3.
No. 2 Seojin Park of South Korea outplayed No. 7 Pin-Tsen Chou of Chinese Taipei, 6-2, 6-3, while No. 3 Pimlaphat Lim of Thailand won over Pimpisa Wongwanitkajon, 6-2, 6-3, to forge a semifinal showdown.
In the boys’ division, No. 2 Ruochen Gao of China downed No. 5 Kango Endoh of Japan, 6-4, 6-3, to advance in the semis against qualifier Shun Munetoh of Japan, who ousted No. 4 Napat Pattanalertphan of Thailand, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.
No. 6 Kuranosuke Suzuki of Japan got a free ride to the Final Four following a walkover win over No. 1 seed Luke Jie Xi Ho of Singapore.
Suzuki will face compatriot Aoi Ishizaki, who ousted No. 3 Ariyaphol Leekul of Thailand, 6-4, 6-2.
In the doubles, fourth seeds Ishizaki and Endoh advanced to the semis after beating local tandem James Vynald Ryle Aquino and Gavin Kraut, 6-3, 6-3.
The Japanese pair will meet Singaporeans Leon Wei Xi Ho and Luke Jie Ho, who eliminated top seeds Ariyaphol Leekul and Napat Pattanalertphan of Thailand, 6-4, 5-7, 10-7.
Ziche Chen and Wei-Cheng Tang of Chinese Taipei also made it to the semis after conquering Andre Harnadi of Singapore and Prachanda Komarla of Australia, 6-7 (5), 6-4, 10-4. (PNA)
