‘Honda Room’ to empower youth through technical education

Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI), the country’s leading motorcycle manufacturer and distributor, has reignited its commitment to nation-building through the relaunch of its flagship CSR initiative, the Honda Room program, under the Honda Love You advocacy. This renewed effort kicked off in March 2025 with a series of events held across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The program is conducted in collaboration with esteemed technical schools offering Motorcycle/Small Engine Servicing (MSES) vocational courses. It specifically targets underprivileged youth in areas with high demand for motorcycle service technicians and a rapidly growing customer base.

The Honda Room serves as a fully-equipped technical laboratory designed for hands-on training in motorcycle and small engine servicing. It aims to deliver quality education, cultivate skilled mechanics, and open pathways to employment for disadvantaged young Filipinos. By doing so, Honda also ensures a steady pipeline of qualified technicians for its dealerships—upholding the brand’s strict standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Each training term supports around 25 learners, giving them not only technical knowledge but also the hope of a better future, directly benefiting their families and communities.

Honda Room Relaunch Events:

  • Nueva Ecija, March 18, 2025 (Luzon): The first event was held at Don Bosco Training Center—San Jose, Inc., which serves marginalized youth aged 17 to 24, many of whom are children of farmers unable to pursue higher education.
  • Iloilo, March 26, 2025 (Visayas): The second leg took place at Don Bosco Boys’ Home and Vocational Training Center in Dumangas, which offers a safe environment and quality education to at-risk youth.
  • Davao Oriental, March 28, 2025 (Mindanao): The final event was held at Don Bosco Training Center – Mati, Inc. in Mati City, where students are equipped with industry-relevant skills to improve their employability.

As part of the initiative, Honda provided its partner institutions with motorcycles featuring the latest Honda technology, a full suite of tools and equipment, and specialized training for instructors through a “train-the-trainer” program.

Through continuous collaboration with technical schools, Honda remains committed to empowering the next generation, strengthening the automotive industry, and fostering a more sustainable, self-reliant society.
