A new high-speed freight rail line now connects Wuhan, Hubei, with Guangzhou, Guangdong, enabling trains to travel up to 350 kilometers per hour for direct deliveries between central China and the Greater Bay Area.
Zhang Ting, manager at China Railway Express Co., Ltd., said the line will mainly transport time-sensitive goods such as fresh food, biomedicine, and electronics, using specialized packaging and temperature-monitoring systems to ensure products arrive in optimal condition.
The Wuhan-Guangzhou route follows previous high-speed freight launches, including Kunming-Chengdu, Zhengzhou-Chongqing, and Nanchang-Shenzhen lines. Officials expect the new link to boost coordinated development between central China and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
