Four people were killed after a helicopter went down in a wooded area of Rio de Janeiro, Brazilian authorities said Saturday.
The local fire department said the dead included the pilot and three passengers, although formal identification had not yet been completed.
Three of the passengers were believed to be Colombian tourists, according to Colombian Consul General to Brazil Diana Paez.
Authorities said the identification process was complicated by the condition of some of the remains following a fire at the crash site.
Videos shared online showed flames in the area after the helicopter went down, prompting the deployment of specialized firefighting teams.
Rescuers also faced difficulty reaching the site because the aircraft crashed in a remote section of forest.
The helicopter was operated by a company offering sightseeing flights to tourists in Rio de Janeiro.
The crash happened near Vista Chinesa, a well-known lookout point overlooking the city and the coast.
