Governor Ramon Guico III secured a second term in Pangasinan after defeating former governor Amado Espino III by 96,837 votes in the 2025 midterm elections.
Final results released Tuesday showed Guico with 881,307 votes, while Espino garnered 784,470. Voter turnout was high, with 86.76% of Pangasinan’s 2.1 million registered voters participating.
“I’m happy to be reelected, meaning we can continue with our projects,” Guico told reporters, promising to push forward initiatives in education, health, infrastructure, and tourism.
Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino, Guico’s running mate, also secured reelection with over one million votes.
The Commission on Elections’ provincial board of canvassers certified the results after successful transmission from all voting precincts.
