The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) launched a scholarship program for dependents of GSIS members and pensioners.

The initiative provides skills training for unemployed family members in Legazpi, Cebu, and Davao.

A total of 75 slots are available, with 25 for each region covered by the respective GSIS branch offices.

The scholarships cover training fees and aim to give beneficiaries practical skills to improve employment opportunities.

Courses are region-specific: cookery in Legazpi, automotive services in Cebu, and bread and pastry in Davao.

Eligible nominees include spouses, children, or siblings of single GSIS members, as well as dependents of pensioners who are at least 18 years old and unemployed.

Applicants must reside in the covered region, meet TESDA qualifications, and belong to families with active GSIS membership and updated contributions.

Applications are open from January 20 to February 18, 2026, and must be submitted at the GSIS branch offices with proof of relationship.

Scholarship slots will be prioritized for members or pensioners with the lowest basic annual salary or monthly pension, with length of service used as a tiebreaker.

Qualified applicants will be notified via email or mobile once their submissions are verified by the GSIS branch offices.
