Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary Claire Castro said President Ferdinand R. During the meeting, Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. presented a cold storage expansion project, with PHP3 billion allocated for 99 facilities to extend the shelf life of fruits, vegetables, and high-value crops while stabilizing prices.

The DA is also planning to establish food hubs in strategic locations nationwide to improve access between suppliers and buyers.

Further details on the housing projects and cold storage initiatives are yet to be disclosed.
