State workers from various Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) called on President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to immediately implement the second phase of the Compensation and Position Classification System (CPCS-2) during a forum held Friday, August 1, 2025.
Speaking at The Agenda Forum hosted by Lolly Acosta, Nanette Jarino-Lim—President of the Land Bank of the Philippines Employees Association (LBPEA)—emphasized the urgent need for salary adjustments under CPCS-2, which has yet to be rolled out.
Lim pointed out that their sector, classified as Government Financial Institutions (GFIs), contributes a significant share of revenue to the national coffers. “We are not a burden to the government—we help fund it. It’s only fair that the compensation system reflects the value of our work,” she said.
Lim also serves as the Executive Vice President of the National Union of Bank Employees in Insurance and Finance Organizations, advocating for equitable pay and fair treatment across financial institutions. (Art Torres)
