Globe Telecom took center stage at Digital Transformation World (DTW) Ignite 2025 in Copenhagen, Denmark, cementing its role as a trailblazer in artificial intelligence (AI) within the global telecommunications industry.

Hosted by TM Forum, DTW Ignite is one of the most influential summits for telecom innovation and digital evolution. Globe used the prestigious platform to showcase its AI journey, share its scalable innovations, and emphasize a people-first approach to technology.

A recipe for AI success
Opening the event’s keynote lineup was Anton Bonifacio, Globe’s Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer and Chief Information Security Officer. His talk, “Becoming AI & Data Natives,” took a refreshingly relatable turn—likening Globe’s AI approach to running a kitchen.

“For Globe, our AI strategy is like building a great kitchen,” Bonifacio shared. “We focus on a solid foundation first—whether it’s standardizing observability stacks, setting guardrails for large language models, or developing common AI infrastructure that can be reused and scaled.”

The metaphor served as a creative lens for Globe’s strategy: build a strong, shared foundation, empower everyone to create, and deliver solutions that truly matter.

Empowering innovation from the inside out
Bonifacio emphasized democratizing AI within the organization, giving every employee access to low-code/no-code tools and generative AI technologies so they can solve real problems at the source.

“Why wait for perfection when we can empower our teams now?” he said. “Our people understand the pain points best. Let’s give them the tools to co-create and innovate.”

But Globe’s ambition goes beyond its own workforce. “We want to open this kitchen to our customers too,” he added. “Imagine them cooking alongside us—collaborating, building, and innovating together.”

Bonifacio also warned against fragmented systems and vendor dependence.

“If every dish requires a different kitchen—with separate tools and vendors—we’ll end up in a nightmare of redundancy and inefficiency,” he explained. “Our goal is seamless integration, not technological chaos.”

Triple win on the global stage
Globe didn’t just talk the talk. Its Network Digitalization team, led by Dennis R. Abella, brought home three Open Innovation Catalyst Awards at DTW Ignite:

  1. Business Impact Award
  2. Attendees’ Choice Award
  3. Interactive Showcase Award

The winning innovations included a groundbreaking AI-powered customer satisfaction engine that uses real-time predictive analytics, graph technology, and automation to enhance user experience and cut churn.

Also on display was Globe’s AI-native network architecture—a futuristic system built on predictive intelligence, cloud-first operations, and a unified data backbone aligned with TM Forum standards.

From redefining internal culture to influencing industry-wide architecture, Globe’s DTW Ignite presence demonstrated its commitment to shaping the future of telecom through responsible, inclusive, and scalable AI.

As the telecom world races toward transformation, Globe stands not only as a participant—but as a leader, collaborator, and innovator ready to cook up what’s next.
