Globe is deepening its commitment to inclusive growth and community care as the GT Coop CAREavan continues its journey across the Visayas and Mindanao, bringing together employee volunteers, partner organizations, and local communities in a shared effort to expand digital access and uplift lives.
Anchored on Globe’s vision of creating a Globe of Good, the regional CAREavan goes beyond outreach by delivering practical learning, meaningful connections, and sustained support where it is needed most. Each stop reflects how care, when paired with technology and collaboration, can open new opportunities for communities.
In Cebu, Globe’s Cable Network Field Maintenance team spent a day with children from Children’s Haven, transforming a simple visit into a memorable experience of play, storytelling, and shared laughter. More than 60 Globe volunteers engaged with 72 young beneficiaries, distributing essential supplies and creating a warm, joyful environment that underscored the company’s long-standing advocacy for child welfare and community upliftment.

The CAREavan then moved south to Davao City, where digital empowerment took center stage with the launch of the first SeniorDigizen training session in Barangay Ma-a. Thirty-one Globe volunteers, supported by 49 students and staff from University of Mindanao, guided senior citizens through the basics of smartphone use, online safety, GCash, and the GlobeOne app. The session was designed to help older adults stay connected, confident, and secure as they navigate an increasingly digital world.
Globe’s culture of care was also evident in the Warrior Moms Outreach Program, led by volunteers from NTG-Mindanao in partnership with Davao Warrior Angels Charity Organization Inc.. The initiative provided comfort and encouragement to 19 children living with lifelong illnesses and their families through shared meals, thoughtful gifts, and meaningful conversations. Beyond time and presence, volunteers raised ₱19,000 through personal contributions and fundraising efforts, demonstrating how collective compassion can translate into tangible support.
Alwin Mahusay, Assistant Director for HR Business Partner at Globe, said the CAREavan reflects the company’s belief that care and connectivity must be accessible to all. Through the dedication of its volunteers and the strength of its partnerships, Globe continues to help communities embrace digital learning and move forward with confidence.
From Cebu to Davao, the GT Coop CAREavan remains a living example of how purpose-driven initiatives can strengthen communities, bridge digital gaps, and ensure that progress reaches everyone, one community at a time.
