Genshin Impact Version Luna I launches September 10 with new region and characters

HoYoverse announced that Genshin Impact’s Version Luna I update will launch on September 10, introducing the new Nod-Krai region and starting the yearlong “Song of the Welkin Moon” series. Players will explore three island territories, uncover lunar secrets, and face faction conflicts influenced by the elemental force Kuuvahki.

The update adds three new playable characters: Lauma, a five-star Dendro user with the new “Lunar-Bloom” elemental reaction; Flins, a five-star Electro Polearm wielder with Lunar-Charged attacks; and Aino, a four-star Hydro Claymore fighter who uses inventions like the duck-shaped combat device “Knuckle Duckle.”

Version Luna I also features new quests, faster Adventure Rank leveling, expanded party slots, artifact previews, and allows five-star characters to reach Level 100. Players will encounter the Fatui Harbinger Sandrone and meet Columbina, the “Moon Maiden,” a returning character tied to the game’s lore.

To celebrate the game’s fifth anniversary, HoYoverse will give players a free five-star character, 1,600 Primogems, and other rewards.

The company also previewed “Miliastra Wonderland,” a user-generated content system coming in Version Luna II that lets players design and share custom stages.

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open-world RPG available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Android, and iOS.
