GCash has announced updates to its transaction limits for sending and receiving money, set to take effect on May 10.
Under the new policy, users can now send money up to 550 times and receive money up to 500 times per month. However, these limits apply only to the number of transactions, separate from the monthly wallet limit, which caps the total amount a user can send and receive.
GCash clarified that the Express Send transaction limit resets monthly, meaning users who reach their limit must wait until the next month to send or receive funds again. Those who frequently hit their limit are encouraged to upgrade to a GCash Pera Outlet account for higher transaction capacity.
In line with the 2025 National and Local Elections, GCash has also implemented a temporary limit on send money transactions until May 12 to prevent potential use in vote buying. The restriction complies with the COMELEC “Kontra-Bigay” Resolution, which aims to prevent digital platforms from being misused for election-related financial transactions.
Users may experience delays or failed transactions due to these temporary limits, but normal services are expected to resume after the election period.
