Garmin has brought Garmin Pay to the Philippines, giving compatible smartwatch users a new way to pay without reaching for their phone, wallet, or card.
The feature lets users make contactless payments straight from their Garmin smartwatch, adding everyday convenience for people who are always on the move.
Whether buying coffee after a morning run, paying for groceries, commuting, or traveling, users can tap their smartwatch at supported Visa or Mastercard contactless terminals.
Garmin Philippines country manager Jamie Su said the launch was part of the brand’s effort to build products and features that fit active lifestyles both during workouts and daily routines.
Garmin Pay was rolled out through partnerships with GoTyme Bank and EastWest Bank, with transactions powered by Visa and Mastercard.
Users can activate the feature by linking eligible debit or credit cards through the Garmin Connect app, entering a passcode on their watch, selecting a preferred card, and tapping the device to pay.
GoTyme, EastWest, Visa, and Mastercard described the service as a secure and seamless payment option for Filipinos shifting to more digital and cashless habits.
Garmin Pay can also be used on the Connect IQ Store for apps, watch faces, and premium content, making the smartwatch not only a fitness companion but also a more connected everyday lifestyle device.
