GAC International Philippines, Inc. brought together its nationwide dealer network on Thursday for the 2026 GAC Philippines Dealer Conference in Makati City, formally uniting partners under a single brand direction as the company begins a new chapter of direct, self-operated presence in the country.

Held under the theme “Building Success Together as ONE GAC,” the conference marked the first dealer assembly since GAC established its wholly owned Philippine subsidiary, placing local operations directly under the management of GAC headquarters.

The shift signals a more hands-on approach aimed at accelerating parts availability, strengthening aftersales support, and tightening coordination across dealerships nationwide—key pillars the company believes will elevate customer confidence and ownership experience.

The gathering also served as a strategic alignment session, anchoring dealers on the ONE GAC philosophy built around One Brand, One Channel, and One Service. This framework is designed to standardize sales practices, service quality, and customer experience across all touchpoints, regardless of location.

Dealer principals and representatives from Metro Manila, North and South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao participated in a formal dealer agreement signing, underscoring the breadth of GAC’s retail footprint and signaling continued confidence in the brand’s long-term direction and investments in the Philippine market.

“The change to self-operation shows our strong confidence in the local market. It also means we will invest more resources, strengthen the local team, and fully support all partners for win-win growth,” said Steven Wang, Senior Vice President of GAC International.

Beyond strategy, the conference gave dealers an exclusive look at GAC Philippines’ expanding product roadmap for 2026, reflecting a broader, more flexible approach to mobility. The upcoming lineup spans internal combustion, hybrid, and full electric offerings, including the GS8 HEV, AION UT, HYPTEC HT, AION V, AION Y Plus, E8, and GN8 PHEV, all set to roll out progressively across local showrooms.

Central to that roadmap is the GS8 HEV, which GAC Philippines is positioning as a cornerstone model and a new reference point in hybrid luxury. The premium seven-seat crossover retains its bold, refined styling while integrating the Mega Wave THS hybrid system, delivering improved fuel efficiency without sacrificing performance.

Powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged hybrid setup, the GS8 HEV offers smooth, confident power delivery with a maximum output of 40 kW and 121 Nm of torque, tailored for both urban driving and long-distance travel.

GAC Philippines said it is also preparing a GS8 HEV Limited Edition as part of its push to build stronger market awareness for the model, signaling the brand’s intent to compete more aggressively in the premium hybrid SUV space.

The GS8 HEV is expected to begin accepting orders in the Philippines starting March 2026, with pricing and full specifications to be announced closer to its official retail launch.
