The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in convergence with the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) through the office of Commissioner Reynaldo P. Galupo, turned over 15 Negosyo sa Kariton (NegoKart) livelihood units to urban poor beneficiaries in Tubigon, Bohol on September 8, 2026.
The latest rollout completes the deployment of 100 NegoKart units across Central Visayas, providing beneficiaries with opportunities to start or strengthen their livelihood activities and generate additional income for their families.
Prior to the turnover, beneficiaries attended a simple bookkeeping seminar to help them develop basic skills in managing their income, expenses, and business records.
PCUP Commissioner Galupo emphasized the importance of ensuring that livelihood assistance becomes a sustainable source of income for beneficiaries and their families.
The activity brought together PCUP, DOLE Provincial Head Vivencio Lagahid, and local government partners, including Tubigon Vice Mayor Hon. Delia F. Lasco and Ubay Municipal Administrator Mr. Karl Arbon, in support of programs that promote sustainable livelihood and economic empowerment among urban poor communities.
More than a livelihood cart, each NegoKart represents an opportunity to earn, provide, and move forward.
