Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), a global leader in express transportation, has rolled out its latest digital solution in the Philippines—the FedEx Import Tool, designed to cut through the red tape of international trade and make cross-border logistics easier for Filipino businesses.

The all-in-one platform streamlines the import process with automated features that handle everything from customs documentation to shipment tracking. By reducing manual tasks and giving businesses real-time visibility across every stage of their imports, the tool aims to speed up deliveries and minimize costly delays.

Already available in Australia, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, the FedEx Import Tool is now being introduced to the Philippines as demand for imported goods continues to rise. From January to April 2025 alone, Philippine imports hit $42.78 billion, up 5.6% from last year. The platform is also set to expand soon across more Asia-Pacific markets, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and New Zealand.

Key features of the FedEx Import Tool include:

  • A unified self-service platform for document management and shipment tracking.
  • A customizable dashboard offering end-to-end visibility.
  • Proactive alerts to fast-track customs clearance and reduce hold-ups.
  • 24/7 monitoring with shipment tracking available up to 90 days post-pickup.

Maribeth Espinosa, Managing Director of FedEx Philippines, emphasized the tool’s role in strengthening local businesses:
“The launch of the FedEx Import Tool marks a significant step in empowering Filipino SMEs. By simplifying and accelerating the import process, we enable them to scale up, meet international demand, and build brands that can compete globally.”

The FedEx Import Tool is part of the company’s broader push to digitize supply chains and help businesses stay competitive in a rapidly changing market. Other innovations include FedEx Ship Manager™, which streamlines shipment management online, and FedEx Electronic Trade Documents, which allows customers to submit cross-border paperwork digitally, reducing delays and paper waste. FedEx is also using machine learning to give customers more accurate delivery windows.

With these tech-driven solutions, FedEx continues to deliver on its mission: making global trade simpler, smarter, and more sustainable for businesses of all sizes.
