Family rescued after coconut tree crushes home in Guimaras

Residents and responding police successfully rescued four family members after their home was crushed by a fallen coconut tree in Barangay Concordia, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras, on Tuesday morning amid Typhoon Tino’s onslaught.

A video captured residents and police working together to pull out the father, who was trapped under the debris after the tree destroyed their house.

According to residents, the coconut tree was uprooted by the strong winds brought by the typhoon. The uploader said the couple and their two children were inside the house when the tree fell. The wife and children managed to escape immediately, but the father was trapped inside.
