A huge part of the country will experience generally fair weather on Tuesday, the state weather bureau said.
“Generally fair weather will prevail, and isolated rain showers and thunderstorms will also be experienced due to the easterlies,” Obet Badrina of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
The easterlies will also cause scattered rains and thunderstorms over Aurora and Quezon.
Moderate to heavy rains in those areas could result in flash floods or landslides.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
As of 2:00 a.m., no low pressure area was monitored for possible tropical cyclone formation.
Six to 13 tropical cyclones are expected to develop or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) from March to August.
A total of 16 to 19 tropical cyclones are expected in the PAR throughout the year, which is below average according to PAGASA spokesperson Analiza Solis.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters will prevail over the eastern section of Luzon.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
