Clear to partly cloudy conditions prevailed across much of the country on Friday, with only isolated rains expected in some areas, the state weather bureau said.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said a ridge of a high pressure area continued to influence Northern and Central Luzon, limiting the likelihood of widespread rainfall.
Weather conditions in Metro Manila and other parts of the country remained generally fair, although cloud formations developed in some areas.
The agency said localized rain showers and thunderstorms could still occur, particularly in Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, mostly in the afternoon or evening.
Pagasa also monitored a typhoon outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, noting that it is not expected to enter or directly affect the country.
Meanwhile, authorities warned of rising heat index levels driven by high humidity, which may make temperatures feel significantly warmer.
Some areas were projected to reach levels classified under extreme caution, while others could approach the danger threshold, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses.
The public is advised to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours, stay hydrated and take protective measures when going outdoors.
