Ellen Adarna fires back: ‘How can I marry him, he never proposed!’

Two smiling individuals pose for a photo, with one wearing glasses and the other in a red jacket, against a background of a bustling street.

The internet nearly imploded after professional gossip starter Xian Gaza dropped another blind item, hinting that actress Ellen Adarna supposedly masterminded a “marriage-for-money scheme” with her husband Derek Ramsay.

In true Gaza fashion, the post was messy, spicy, and loaded with shade. He painted a picture of a “billionaire husband” who got duped into marriage, a wife who allegedly plotted everything for money, and a child caught in between. And though he didn’t name names, his comment section said it all—fingers pointed straight at Ellen and Derek.

Adding fuel to the fire, Gaza dragged Ellen’s ex John Lloyd Cruz into the mess, claiming she never married him because, as he put it, “Wala siyang mapapala.” His punchline? The most she could get from John Lloyd was “half a flowerpot and a few packs of Biogesic.”

Ouch.

Ellen explodes on IG stories
Never one to stay quiet, Ellen clapped back with her trademark mix of sass and sarcasm.

“Everyone’s tagging me—looks like I’ll need Biogesic now. How can I marry him if he never even proposed?” she shot back, silencing the chatter about her past with John Lloyd.

Ellen then went after Gaza’s “billionaire husband” claim, scoffing: “Billions? The only billions I’ve seen are in flood control projects. Billionaires? Gokongwei, Zobel, Aboitiz, Villar, Lucio Tan. Not Derek Ramsay!”

And just to twist the knife, she defended John Lloyd’s legacy: “Don’t you dare belittle Biogesic. That’s an asset. You don’t know, but I know.”

She ended her rant with a direct jab: “If you’re going to gossip, at least get it right. Don’t call me the liar.”

Derek joins the fray
Meanwhile, Derek Ramsay kept it cool but firm, also taking to Instagram to quash the rumors:
“There’s this issue with Mr. Xian Gaza. Let me make it simple—there’s no truth to any of it. Period.”

Netizens stir the pot
This isn’t the first time Ellen and Derek’s marriage has been dragged into the rumor mill. Fans already suspected trouble in paradise after Ellen stopped reacting to Derek’s social media posts. The gossip train picked up speed when Derek jetted off to Bali for a self-help retreat and Ellen later posted about postpartum struggles, hinting at emotional distance between them.

Then came the “unfollow” drama on Instagram—something Ellen dismissed as a glitch. “I never unfollowed my husband. Ever. Stop with the fake news.”

Showbiz royalty or gossip fodder?
For now, Ellen and Derek insist they’re still solid. But as long as Xian Gaza’s around, it looks like this couple will never escape the rumor mill.

Because in Philippine showbiz, even Biogesic can’t cure the headache called Xian Gaza.
