EastWest Bank and Puregold Price Club, Inc. have teamed up to launch the EastWest Puregold Always Panalo Visa Credit Card, a new co-branded offering designed to deliver greater rewards and savings for Filipino consumers.
The launch event, held April 3 at Bonifacio Global City, gathered executives from both companies, members of the media, and industry stakeholders to celebrate what the partners described as a shared mission: to make everyday spending more rewarding for households nationwide.
“This card is a collaboration between EastWest and Puregold that delivers practical, real-world benefits,” said EastWest CEO Jerry Ngo during his opening remarks. “It turns regular grocery runs into opportunities to earn cash rebates, which can be converted into Puregold P-Wallet credits—helping cardholders stretch their budgets while enjoying the ease of cashless payments.”
Designed with frequent shoppers in mind, the EastWest Puregold Always Panalo Visa Credit Card offers one of the most competitive rewards programs in the market. Cardholders earn one rewards point for every ₱30 spent at Puregold stores and one point for every ₱100 spent elsewhere. These points can then be converted to Puregold P-Wallet credits at a 1:1 rate, with a maximum of ₱3,000 redeemable per month.
EastWest Executive Vice President and Head of Consumer Lending Cluster Lawrence Lee emphasized the card’s practical appeal. “This card maximizes every peso spent, making shopping for the family more rewarding,” Lee said. “Every transaction brings cardholders closer to bigger savings and exclusive perks.”
The launch event featured a ceremonial unveiling of the credit card, a media roundtable discussion with key executives, and a lively program that included the debut of an official jingle set to play in Puregold stores nationwide.
The release of the co-branded credit card also coincides with EastWest’s 30th anniversary, underscoring the bank’s ongoing commitment to delivering innovative financial products that serve the evolving needs of Filipino consumers.
