Easterlies and northeast monsoon to bring rain to parts of the Philippines

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported on Saturday that the easterlies and the northeast monsoon will bring scattered rains to parts of the country.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA stated that the Davao Region, Caraga, and Soccsksargen will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies. The agency warned of possible flash floods or landslides in these areas as rainfall may range from moderate to heavy.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila, the Ilocos and Cordillera regions, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, and Calabarzon can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon.

The rest of the country will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought about by the easterlies.

PAGASA added that moderate winds and sea conditions will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon. Elsewhere across the archipelago, light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas are expected.
