Kevin Durant scored 31 points and dished out seven assists to lead the Houston Rockets to a 122-115 comeback victory over the host Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.
The Rockets erased a 14-point deficit late in the game, with Durant assisting Alperen Sengun on a dunk to pull Houston within 108-107 with 3:59 remaining. Durant then completed a three-point play and assisted Jabari Smith Jr. on a 3-pointer, giving Houston a 113-111 lead. Sengun sealed the win with a three-point play in the final 23.4 seconds.
Sengun finished with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists, while Smith contributed 16 points and nine rebounds. Reed Sheppard added 16 points off the bench, sparking the fourth-quarter rally alongside Durant and Sengun. Amen Thompson chipped in 14 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals for Houston.
For Milwaukee, Giannis Antetokounmpo led all scorers with 37 points and eight rebounds but missed four crucial free throws in the final 90 seconds. Ryan Rollins added 19 points, and Bobby Portis contributed 11 points, four assists, and three steals off the bench.
Despite shooting 57.1 percent in the first quarter, the Bucks’ turnovers allowed the Rockets to gradually close the gap. Houston trailed 61-50 at halftime after committing 12 turnovers but mounted a decisive fourth-quarter rally to claim the win.
