With the New Year approaching, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has identified fireworks brands that meet national safety standards.

The list covers manufacturers granted a valid Philippine Standards Certification Mark by the Bureau of Philippine Standards.

DTI said only these firms are authorized to sell certified fireworks to the public during the holiday season.

Companies with valid licenses include Diamond Fireworks Inc., Dragon Fireworks Incorporated, Dreamlight Fireworks Manufacturing, and F.R.T. Fireworks.

Also cleared to sell are JPL Manufacturing Fireworks, Legendary Fireworks Inc., Maribel Sta. Ana Fireworks, Nation Fireworks, Pyro Kreations Fireworks, and Star Light Fireworks.

The agency said consumers may consult official DTI platforms for the complete list and license details.

Along with the release, the DTI reminded buyers to look for the PS Mark, follow product instructions, and avoid fireworks that appear unsafe.

The public was likewise advised to use protective gear, maintain a safe distance, and keep water or fire-control materials nearby.

Separately, the Philippine National Police reiterated that overweight, oversized, unlabeled, and imported finished firecrackers remain prohibited.

Authorities warned that banned items, including piccolo, watusi, super lolo, boga, and similar products, are illegal for sale and use nationwide.
