DTI, Converge partner to boost MSME digital growth

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Converge SME Business Group have partnered to enhance online connectivity for the Philippines’ micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The collaboration focuses on providing training, digital tools, and reliable internet to help small businesses thrive in an AI-driven economy.

A key initiative is the DTI AI and Start-up Center in Makati, which will showcase advanced technologies and AI tools for MSME owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. The center aims to teach modern digital solutions and practical applications for business growth.

With access to fast and stable fiber internet, MSMEs can digitize operations, strengthen online presence, and expand their customer reach. Converge will also provide digital onboarding support, training programs, and productivity services to help small enterprises adapt to the digital shift.

“MSMEs are the lifeblood of our economy, but many still face barriers to digital adoption,” said DTI Assistant Secretary Nylah Rizza Bautista. “Through this partnership with Converge SME, we are helping close that gap so Filipino entrepreneurs—wherever they are—can thrive in a technology-driven world.”

Converge SME Business Group head Dindo Marzan added, “This partnership lets us support the very heart of our economy by giving MSMEs the tools and technology to compete, grow, and innovate.”
