The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has started distributing free smartphones to selected beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) to streamline the cash grant disbursement process.
With the use of e-wallets, beneficiaries can now receive their financial assistance digitally, reducing delays and providing a more efficient way to access government aid. The initiative aims to enhance financial inclusion for low-income families, allowing them to manage transactions conveniently without the need for physical cash distribution.
This move is part of the government’s effort to modernize social welfare programs and ensure that assistance reaches those in need faster and more securely.
