MANILA – Labor Secretary Francis Tolentino convened senior officials of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to discuss the rollout of updated measures under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) program.
The meeting brought together regional directors and bureau heads for an orientation on the department’s TUPAD Flagship Innovations.
DOLE said the activity aims to provide clear guidance on the updated implementation of TUPAD and ensure that officials across the department are aligned on the program’s new procedures and initiatives.
TUPAD provides short-term emergency employment to displaced, underemployed and disadvantaged workers through community-based work programs.
