The Department of Education (DepEd) commended teachers and school personnel for their courage and dedication in fulfilling their duties during the 2025 national and local elections.
Education Secretary Sonny Angara also expressed his gratitude to the support personnel who tirelessly assisted teachers and school officials to ensure a clean, orderly, and peaceful election, despite a number of reported incidents.
According to the latest data from the DepEd Election Task Force Command Center, a total of 346 incidents were recorded from various regions by the time the voting precincts closed.
Most of the reports received by DepEd involved malfunctions of Automated Counting Machines (ACMs), missing names from voters’ lists, and issues related to ballots and registration.
The department has officially endorsed these reports to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and other relevant agencies for further review and verification.
