Davao City Offers Free Animal Services Throughout June

The Davao City government announced on Wednesday that it will provide a variety of free services for pets and livestock throughout June. The Davao City Veterinarian’s Office (CVO) stated that teams will visit several barangays to offer free anti-rabies vaccinations and castration for cats and dogs, as well as Veterinary Integrated Barangay Extension Services (VIBES).

The VIBES program includes services such as pregnancy diagnosis and artificial insemination for large cattle and carabaos, deworming for both large and small ruminants and poultry, consultation and treatment for livestock and poultry, Hemosep vaccination for livestock, and vitamin supplementation.

“We continue to bring our services closer to the communities through scheduled barangay visits and participation in barangay caravans as part of our comprehensive rabies control and animal husbandry disease prevention and control programs,” the statement noted.

Additionally, the CVO will conduct synchronization procedures, involving hormone injections to induce estrus in large cattle. Dabawenyos are encouraged to check the schedule for their barangay visits and available services, as these schedules may change under certain circumstances.Bookmark messageCopy messageExport
