DAR unveils upgraded communal irrigation system in Asingan, Pangasinan

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has officially turned over the newly cemented Sinapog Communal Irrigation System to agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Asingan, Pangasinan.

This modern irrigation system is expected to benefit around 80 agrarian reform beneficiaries and 429 hectares of farmland in the area. It replaces the old earthen irrigation system, which was prone to severe water leakage, affecting crop production and farm efficiency.

DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving the livelihood of farmers, emphasizing that initiatives like this will help strengthen agricultural productivity and food security.

The project is part of DAR’s ongoing efforts to provide essential infrastructure and support services to Filipino farmers, ensuring better irrigation, increased yields, and sustainable farming practices.
