A Mandaluyong court has issued arrest warrants against former Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) general manager Royina Garma and four others in connection with the 2020 killing of PCSO board secretary Wesley Barayuga.
Barayuga was gunned down inside a moving vehicle by an unidentified motorcycle-riding assailant on July 30, 2020, in Mandaluyong City.
The case gained traction last year when a police officer from the national police’s drug enforcement group came forward and implicated Garma, along with Edilberto Leonardo, former chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Davao region.
Also facing arrest are Jeremy Zapata Causapin, Santie Fuentes Mendoza, and Nelson Enriquez Mariano.
