The Tourism Promotions Board Philippines generated Php 176.8 million in sales leads during the 17th Regional Travel Fair held in Baguio City.
The three-day event, held from May 15 to 17 at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center, also produced 2,120 business-to-business appointments.
TPB said the figures marked a 41.90-percent increase in both sales leads and business appointments compared with the previous Regional Travel Fair in 2025.
With the theme “Find Yourself in the Cordilleras,” the fair highlighted the region’s culture, natural attractions, and travel experiences across Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Tabuk, and Baguio City.
TPB Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Nograles said the fair served as a platform for destinations, communities, and tourism stakeholders to build partnerships and strengthen domestic travel at the regional level.
The event gathered 77 sellers and exhibitors and 54 buyers for business-to-business and business-to-consumer activities, including accommodation providers, tour operators, destination management companies, and other tourism players.
The business-to-consumer sessions on May 16 and 17 offered residents access to domestic tour packages, discounted travel deals, craft demonstrations, travel games, and local products from Baguio and other participating destinations.
The fair ended on May 17 with a turnover ceremony naming the Bangsamoro region as the next host. The 18th Regional Travel Fair is scheduled from Aug. 16 to 18 in Cotabato City, where organizers aim to showcase Moro heritage, history, and emerging travel destinations.
