Cops seize P1-M worth of shabu, 2 suspects nabbed in Taguig bust

Anti-narcotics agents arrested two suspected high-value drug targets and seized over PHP1 million worth of suspected shabu during a Saturday night buy-bust operation in Taguig City.

In a report released Sunday, the Philippine National Police – Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) identified the suspects as alias “Jeff,” 32, and “Ysah,” 18.

Both are classified by authorities as high-value individuals (HVI) in the illegal drug trade.

The operation took place at approximately 8:20 p.m. along Earth Street in Barangay Napindan.

Operating units recovered roughly 150 grams of suspected shabu, which has an estimated street value of PHP1.02 million.

Police also confiscated various non-drug items as evidence.

The suspects are currently in the custody of the PDEG Special Operating Unit in Camp Bagong Diwa for documentation and the filing of charges.

The confiscated substances have been turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for laboratory analysis.
