As fuel prices continue to strain daily travel across the Philippines, Concentrix Philippines is stepping in with a people-first solution—launching “Hatid Game-Changers: Biyaheng Bayanihan,” a shuttle initiative designed to support both its employees and local transport drivers grappling with rising costs.
Positioned as a temporary yet timely intervention, the program complements the company’s existing Point-to-Point (P2P) bus service across NCR Plus. It provides free, reliable transportation for employees—known internally as “game-changers”—while ensuring steady income for jeepney and van drivers affected by fluctuating fuel prices and inconsistent ridership.
The initiative currently partners with 35 jeepney drivers servicing key routes across Rizal, Quezon City, Mandaluyong, Manila, and Makati. In Cebu, nine van drivers have been deployed to cover Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue, and Cebu City. These fixed routes are strategically mapped around high-density residential areas and Concentrix sites, allowing for efficient and accessible daily commutes. All vehicles are Concentrix-branded, with employees simply presenting their company IDs to hop on.
Beyond convenience, the impact is tangible. Employees report reduced commuting stress and noticeable daily savings, while partner drivers benefit from a more predictable income stream—an increasingly rare stability in today’s transport landscape.
“At Concentrix, care is not just a value—it’s something we actively put into motion, especially in times of need,” said Amit Jagga, Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer of Concentrix Philippines. “Hatid Game-Changers reflects our solidarity not just with our people, but with the communities we operate in. By working with jeepney and van drivers, we’re able to extend support in a way that’s both practical and meaningful.”
The company has earmarked nearly Php 100 million this year for various transport support programs, including Hatid Game-Changers. While the initiative is currently positioned as a temporary measure, its duration and scope will be continuously evaluated based on fuel price trends and commuter needs.
For employees like Lhynerd Carcallas from the Concentrix Shaw team, the difference is immediate. “Malaking tulong ito sa amin—hindi lang sa gastos, kundi sa peace of mind araw-araw,” he shared.
Rooted in the Filipino spirit of bayanihan, the program highlights how private sector initiatives can help cushion the impact of broader economic challenges. For Concentrix, it reinforces a simple idea: delivering world-class service begins with taking care of the people who make it possible—and the communities that support them.
With a workforce of over 100,000 in the Philippines, Concentrix continues to invest in initiatives that go beyond the workplace, recently earning recognition as the top-ranked company in “Most Inspiring Workplaces in Asia” and placing in the Top 5 for “Best Workplaces in the Philippines.”
