Comelec dismisses disqualification petition against Senator-Elect Erwin Tulfo

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) Second Division dismissed the disqualification petition against Senator-elect Erwin Tulfo in a decision released Thursday.

The petition, filed by Toto Causing and Graft-Free Philippines Foundation Inc. (GFPFI), was rejected due to procedural deficiencies. The commission noted the petitioners failed to submit an affidavit of authentication and a secretary’s certificate with their certificate of candidacy (COC).

“The Petition is DISMISSED,” the decision stated, adding that the failure to meet these requirements warranted outright dismissal for insufficiency in form.
