CJ Opiaza shines across Asia as Miss Grand International 2024

CJ Opiaza, crowned Miss Grand International 2024, confidently poses on stage in an elegant gown and tiara, showcasing her grace and poise.

CJ Opiaza is not just wearing the Miss Grand International (MGI) crown — she’s wearing it well, as she continues to travel across Asia and represent the title with pride, elegance, and heart.

Since being officially crowned Miss Grand International 2024 last June in Bangkok, Thailand, Opiaza has been on a whirlwind journey across the continent, captivating audiences and leaving a trail of admiration wherever she goes.

Her latest destination? Malaysia. From July 27 to 31, Opiaza will be in the country alongside MGI Vice President Teresa Chaivisut to attend the prestigious Miss Grand Malaysia 2025 pageant. The winner of this national competition will go on to represent Malaysia in the next international MGI edition.

This trip comes shortly after Opiaza’s recent stop in India, where she helped crown the new Miss Grand India 2025. Her appearance there was met with enthusiastic support from pageant fans and organizers alike. The MGI president and founder, Nawat Itsaragrisil, also joined the celebration.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Opiaza expressed her gratitude for the warm reception in India:
“Thank you so much to the Miss Grand India organization and to the entire nation for your warm hospitality. You made us feel at home and shared your culture so generously. It was truly an honor to be part of a celebration that uplifts beauty, heritage, and women’s empowerment.”

The Filipina beauty queen has also made official appearances in Myanmar and Shenzhen, China — further solidifying her presence as a global ambassador for the MGI organization.

Back home in the Philippines, Opiaza has been just as active, attending local events and even surprising fans with a lively birthday dance number on the variety show ASAP. Her 27th birthday was not just a celebration of her life but a tribute to her rise to the crown — a moment that marked history for the Philippines.

CJ Opiaza’s ascent to the title was anything but ordinary. Originally crowned first runner-up, she assumed the Miss Grand International 2024 crown after Rachel Gupta of India stepped down amid a highly publicized rift with the organization.

From unexpected succession to unstoppable stardom, CJ Opiaza is proving that her reign is not defined by controversy — but by grace, strength, and a sincere commitment to uplifting others through culture, beauty, and representation on the world stage.
