Circuit Makati shapes the future of the arts

Located in the heart of Makati, Ayala Land’s Circuit Makati is a hub for art and culture. This vibrant district not only offers venues but also nurtures creativity, collaboration, and artistic expression. With world-class infrastructure, community-driven programs, and a focus on Filipino talent, Circuit Makati is quickly becoming a key player in the Philippines’ cultural scene.

Culture district
Since its launch over a decade ago, Circuit Makati has become a hub for art, supporting artists with the resources, venues, and network they need to succeed. Designed to host world-class venues for various art forms, it features landmarks like the Samsung Performing Arts Theater, Black Box Theater, CityFlats Circuit Makati, and the Artist in Residence Program.

The Samsung Performing Arts Theater hosts major productions like Broadway musicals, while the Black Box Theater caters to boutique and experimental productions. The estate also supports artists with the CityFlats co-living space, offering discounts for performers, and the Artist in Residence Program, which provides mentorship and opportunities to showcase their work. For the public, Circuit Makati features outdoor art spaces and installations, allowing everyone to interact with art in everyday settings.

Overall, the district aims to make creativity a part of daily life, engaging not just artists, but also office workers, commuters, students, retirees, and visitors.

Filipino talent
One of Circuit Makati’s flagship initiatives is the Artist in Residence Program, designed to provide artists with the support they need to develop their craft. The program offers accommodations, stipends, mentorship, and access to premier venues for public exhibitions. Its goal is to showcase the diverse artistic talent in the Philippines and offer a platform for local artists to reach larger audiences.

Launched in 2024, the program now includes various disciplines such as photography (with Fotomoto), choreography, and creative advertising (with Adobo Magazine). These partnerships help support artists across different creative fields.

Previous awardees have gained significant opportunities, with many presenting their work at international events, collaborating with global leaders, and securing further career advancements. The program fosters an environment where artists can thrive and build lasting connections within the community.

Contemporary Arts Center
The mixed-use development enhances its artistic vision with the upcoming Contemporary Arts Center by Ayala Foundation, set to open in 2027.

The center aims to connect local and international art communities by bringing global perspectives while celebrating Filipino artistry. Managed by the Ayala Foundation, known for its work with the Ayala Museum and Filipinas Heritage Library, the center will focus on new forms of artistic expression. It will provide a platform for artists to explore innovative concepts, featuring visual arts, immersive installations, digital art, film, and interactive experiences. This will further establish Circuit Makati as a leading arts and culture destination.

Urban landscape
In the heart of the city, Circuit Makati is a hub for both artists and audiences, offering more than just art—it’s a place that sparks passion, curiosity, and a deeper connection to culture.

With a focus on creative spaces, artist support, and accessible art, Circuit Makati continues to shape the future of arts and culture in the country through expanded infrastructure, partnerships, and programs.
