The Choco Mucho Flying Titans officially secured their spot in the semifinals after edging out the PLDT High Speed Hitters in a thrilling five-set showdown, 25-15, 12-25, 25-23, 21-25, 15-13, held yesterday at the Philsports Arena.
It was a hard-fought battle between two teams that both ended the elimination round with identical 8-3 win-loss records, but Choco Mucho came out on top, earning the crucial ticket to the next round.
Setter Marionne Alba once again delivered a standout performance, orchestrating the offense with 22 excellent sets, while also contributing seven points, proving her vital role in the Flying Titans’ gameplay.
Despite Savannah Davison’s explosive 34-point outing—the highest in the match—it wasn’t enough to lift PLDT past the determined Choco Mucho squad.
With momentum and confidence on their side, the Flying Titans now turn their focus to the semifinals, eyeing a shot at the championship.
